Cape Argus SportShow

The inaugural Cape Argus SportShow, which was held in the heart of the Cape winelands in March 2016, enjoyed phenomenal success, thanks to its electric atmosphere, thrilling shows, abundance of gourmet foods and a spectacular venue! Show highlights included world famous slam-dunk phenomenon, Lords of Gravity; the famous Jetman, Yves Rossi; styling Nick de Wit and his Freestyle Motocross Riders; stuntman, Brian Capper; freediver, Hanli Prinsloo; solo adventurer, Riaan Manser; funny guy, Dalin Oliver; and accomplished triathlete, Conrad Stoltz.

Due to this success and popular public demand, the Cape Argus SportShow will be back in March 2017, bigger and better than before! Expect repeat features of 2016’s insane activations and a whole lot more, including even more interactive activations and events for anyone and everyone who loves sport! Thanks to exhibitor interest, 2017’s show will bring with it an expanded exhibition area with unbelievable discounts on all the latest and greatest sporting goods and equipment! The Cape Argus SportShow 2017 will again be hosted at Sandringham, Cape Town the premier outdoor exhibition location in the country. The location is halfway between Cape Town and Paarl on the N1, it’s easy to reach and offers a wonderful day out for the family.

Schools Sport Summit

Following the very successful Schools Sport Summit held in Cape Town in 2016, the third Schools Sport Summit will coincide with the Cape Argus SportShow 2017. Some 350 delegates from more than 120 South African schools, consisting of school principals, coaches and heads of sport, will attend this Summit.

The Summit aims to bring together leading minds, parents, educators and key role-players to discuss crucial topics impacting the South African school sport scene. These topics include the role sport plays in educating children, the impact sport has on the lives of children and expert comments and case studies that can be utilised in the South African context to guide schools towards best practice in sport.

The Summit’s expert panel of speakers will help inform, motivate and challenge the wayforward for youth sport. Limited space is available for parents and interested parties.
